Essay Topics - Unappealing Topic, Imperialism

Essay Topics - Unappealing Topic, ImperialismThis year, we're going to be taking a look at some essay samples in a not-so-appealing topic, imperialism. So, what exactly is imperialism? And why is it an enduring issue in the US and the world over?We all know that political correctness is having a negative effect on political subject matter. What else does this have to do with imperialism? Let's look at an example. At a recent Obama fundraiser in Los Angeles, he referred to the need for higher taxes on the rich. This seemed to be somewhat in support of globalism and socialism.Indeed, this is indeed a political issue. But, if you think about it, imperialism has not been good for the world, and in fact, it has done much harm. Think about all the foreign nations that get into wars and that, in turn, get into more wars to spread their influence. The problem goes far beyond a political issue, but that is another essay topic for another day. Many people seem to be unaware of imperialism. In f act, it may seem completely out of the blue to them. If you're looking for some types of essays in which to subject your essay topics, then imperialist might be an interesting subject. In fact, you can find quite a bit of material online on the subject of imperialism. For instance, I found a great article by Noah Rothman at The Daily Caller called 'The One Rule You Must Follow, Or You Are a Total Commie: Never, Ever Speak negatively of the United States of America.' Basically, it discusses how one is obligated to say things in praise of the United States of America even if they don't like its actions.Of course, you can get caught up in all of the political correctness in which so many people get caught up. But, you're only hurting yourself. Just because someone says nice things about the United States of America doesn't mean that you agree with everything they say.So, if you're getting sick and tired of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, and you wish the United States would stop sprea ding its influence around the world, then you might want to consider the subject of imperialism. But, do so while still looking past the political correctness issue and focusing on what is true and right.
